Emma and Ceri, the owners, wish to create their family home within the countryside landscape of Birtles Lane, and retain the rural character of the site whilst maintaining and enhancing the setting.

The proposed dwelling is composed of a farmstead form with long linear pavilions forming enclosed courtyards, which will provide both living and working spaces, providing a self-sustaining plot for living and working.

Ceri, the director of Atelier Two Architects, is working with a local team of relevant specialists, all with vast experience working within sensitive sites, to ensure the quality of the proposal is commensurate with the quality and setting of the site.

The Design Review Panel, an impartial body used to ensure high quality design, have been consulted throughout the design process and will continue to be involved upto planning.
