The materials have been derived from the rich and varied palette of local materials, all selected with carbon impact and recyclable performance in mind.

The proposed dwelling will be designed to Passivhaus standard, an exceptional level of energy efficiency, to further reduce carbon impact and help to deliver a net-zero proposal.

The positioning on the site has been carefully selected to allow for a sustainable approach to be incorporated into the design of the dwelling. Sustainable approaches to on-site energy generation, heating, and drainage will be proposed to mitigate the impact on the local rural infrastructure, utilising the natural benefits of the site.
