The Proposal

The proposal is to develop a single family dwelling which sits sensitively within the rural sloping site, using the varied local materials to inform a considered and contextual design in response to the existing landscape setting.

The current stage of design has been driven in response to the immediate established rural character, and seeks to retain the rural characteristic whilst protecting and enhancing the ecology and biodiversity of the existing site.

Vehicular access to the site is proposed from Birtles Lane, positioned to mitigate damage to the existing landscaped setting and retain the character of Birtles Lane
